Our prison activity is picking up. Hiring is continuing and another round of jailers training will start very soon. The required jail inspection happened on Friday October 21. We are planning on inmates arriving as soon as possible after that. This project is a great part of our community and valuable support for the county and the City.
Garza County is excited about the Light up Post event on December 3. Get ready for a big, big Lighted Christmas parade and come be a part of it. Thank you City of Post for the buzz and activity already going on for this event. The County courthouse will be ready for the Christmas lights being turned on in November.
I would like to comment also on our community and how it outdoes itself time after time. This month has shown that once again as the schools have done amazing things to honor and support our children. The hard working administration, teacher and staff are loving one another. More than that I have observed people helping people in the most constructive and quite way. They are just taking care of their neighbors. Just watch it happen in many areas. Be a part of that effort.
Post and Garza County are not perfect but we are grateful for the positive efforts Lee Norman
