Post Area Chamber of Commerce member Mike Travis has a special project going on this month. Mike is in charge of the Texas South Plains Honor Flight. This will be the ninth year for this event and since 2012 over 1,000 veterans from the South Plains area have been treated to an all-expense paid, three-day trip to Washington, DC to see the
War and Service Memorials. That includes approximately 15 veterans from Post.
This year’s trip is May 21-23 and will include 5 Post residents – Mike Travis, Preston Poole, Travis Sweet, Xochitl Montanez and photographer Brennan Riker.
